In Edo Man kills 3 who he suspects to have poisoned him

The incident happened on Monday in Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State where Osua was told by the hospital management that he had five days to live due to the poison he had in his system.

A middle aged man identified as Onana Osua decided to take the law into his hands and go on a revenge spree to kill all his friends who could be responsible for poisoning him. He had already killed three people before the police stopped him.

The incident happened on Monday in Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State where Osua was told by the hospital management that he had five days to live due to the poison he had in his system.

Feeling betrayed and overcome by anger, he went home, picked up his gun and set off for the house of everyone he suspected would try to poison him. Vanguard reports that he was the chairman of a motor park in Uromi.

Mr. Osua was said to have killed the wife of one of his targets when he got to their residence, before fleeing to the neighbouring Ubiaja community where he shot an on coming police patrol van. The police patrol van responded to the attack and shot back in self-defense, killing him.

The Edo State Police spokesman, DSP Abiodun Osifo, however, confirmed that three persons had already been attacked by the deceased and were dead already, while others are in critical conditions in the hospital. He explained that Osua shot at a police team before the police fired back.

It was after the incident our men investigated and discovered that he went on a killing spree and shot at the police before he met his death,” he said.
