In Ebonyi Mother, seven children die in fire outbreak

A fire outbreak in Ohufu village, Ogboji community in Ishielu local government area of Ebonyi State on Saturday killed a mother and her seven children. The nation news reports.

The inferno which took place at about 3am, was said to have started suddenly from an unknown source while the family of ten was sleeping.

It was further gathered that only the father and one of his child made it out alive, after the mother was said to have been trapped in the fire while battling to save one of her children.

Confirming the incident was Henry Eze the house caretaker, he said the source of the fire outbreak is still unknown and he is hoping the police will investigate the case.
