Auhioboh said Mohammadu Jato and Mohammadu Gana of Road 444, Gwarinpa Estate, Abuja, stole 165 iron rods belonging to Bappa, valued at N396,000 on May 9 at about 9 p.m.

She noted that Ibrahim was still undergoing police investigation and the stolen rods were yet to be recovered.

However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge against him and the prosecutor prayed the court to grant her a date to open the case again.

The judge, Mr Abubakar Sadiq, granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N100,000 and a surety in like sum.

He ordered that the surety should have a reasonable means of livelihood and must reside within the jurisdiction of the court.
