3 men in court for stealing generators
He said the first defendant, Ogbe, criminally conspired with two security guards attached to the said company and stole two generators.
The defendants are Victor Ogbe, 34, James Nuhu, 30 and Musa Lafiya, 35; all of Ibwell and Associates, Jabi, Abuja.
They are facing a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and theft.
The Prosecutor, Adeniyi Oyeyemi, said Judith Musa of Ibwell and Associates, Jabi, reported the matter at Wuse Police Station on June 19.
He said the first defendant, Ogbe, criminally conspired with two security guards attached to the said company and stole two generators valued at N560,000.
According to him, one of the generators has been recovered during police investigation.
He said the offences contravened sections 97 and 287 of the Penal Code.
However, the defendants pleaded not guilty to the offences and the Magistrate, Mohammed Tahir, granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 each and a surety in like sum.
Tahir said the sureties must be civil servants and adjourned the matter till July 20 for hearing.
