In a country where majority believe that one has to be crooked to make it, the honest cleaner at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, Josephine Ugwu, who found and returned the sum of $20,000 (N12 million), to its owner, is still being celebrated with all sorts of rewards ranging from monetary, awards, and decorations.
Airport cleaner gets more monetary reward
Josephine Ugwu, the airport cleaner who found and returned N12 million continues to be celebrated.
The latest of such rewards was the presentation of a cheque of N680,000, by the Monday Ubani Foundation, run by renowned lawyer and human rights activist.
The lawyer had promised to take up her case and promised to raise 10% of the money for the lady and he presented an elated Ugwu with the cheque.
Ugwu who said she would invest the money in business, said:

"I'm thinking of investing the money in the sales and distribution of Ugwu leaves since my surname is Ugwu."
