Couple fined £9,000 over noisy sex

A couple have been fined a whopping 9,000 pounds for having noisy sex every night, forcing their neighbours to move away from their apartment.

An Italian couple in their 30s, have been fined £9,000 after neighbours filed complaints about their raucous screams every night when they were having sex, Daily Mail reports.

The noise was too much for their neighbours that they had to move out of the neighbourhood and went ahead to file charges against them

The couple were convicted of noise pollution and harassment for the cacophony they created during their steam sessions apartment in the northern town of San Martino.

Their long-suffering neighbours who first took them to court in 2009, described the wails of passion as 'deafening' and said it kept them and their two children awake.

The man was sentenced to four months in prison in 2011, while his fiancée was given a noise abatement order.

The couple had then appealed the sentence and lost, so they have been made to pay £7,000 in damages to their neighbours who now live elsewhere, and £2,000 in legal fees.
