A highly-placed community leader at the Jeddo area of Warri, Delta State, has been arrested by the State Police Command for allegedly killing his second wife because she wanted to divorce him.

According to a Facebook user who is from the area, Nunu Blinkz, the incident happened on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, after the angry man shot his wife to death following her request for a divorce.

The suspect, a high chief who is the Unuohwodo of Edjeba, according to reports, had already agreed to the murder and submitted his gun to the police.

This is how Nunu Blinkz captured the devastating incident in Pidgin English on her wall:

"Edjeba Chief don kill him second wife for Jeddo ...oh.... early dis marnin... # edjeba leader. unuohwodo of edjeba. #papa paula...and d woman is from OROGUN.. d war don start o.. N he shot her with a gun... and the woman say she nor wan marry again. #dat man wey get one kind mouth.”

“And now he has finally agreed... Dat he was d one who killed her... he has submitted d gun to police... N dey kept him inside d boot.... OROGUN pipo don show...o... All road leads to Orerokpe Palace and station... from dia to Asaba.. two tins involved... sentence to death or life imprisonment."
