Gunmen abduct accountant of hospital during business trip

Report has it that the abducted doctor was on his way to a meeting in the Federal Capital Territory. A N5 million ransom has been demanded for his release.

According to Punch, Asaju was heading to Federal Capital Territory to attend a meeting, when some gunmen stopped him and took him away.

A source at the medical centre told Punch that the kidnappers have already contacted Asaju’s family and demanded a ransom of N5 million.

Mr. Femi Joseph, the Police Public Relations Officer, for the Ondo State Police Command, confirmed the abduction.

He said that his command is working with the Kogi State Police in a bid to rescue the accountant alive and unhurt.

“Though it did not happen in our jurisdiction, we will join forces with the Kogi State command to rescue the victim. He will be released very soon”, Joseph said.
