Her anger, it was gathered, stemmed from her husband's attempt to end their 18-year-old marriage by filing a divorce suit against her, over allegations of constant fighting, nagging, intimidation and harassment by Florence, but she is however insisting that she will not quit the marriage because she already has five children and the marriage was consummated for life.

Trouble was said to have started after Chinedu went to see their children at school and on returning home, he claimed that his wife locked the gate to their house after he got in, poured petrol on him and was about setting him on fire before he managed to escape and ran to the police station where he lodged a complaint.
