Thief 'baptized' in smelly gutter in Owerri

A petty thief was given a stinking baptism after an angry mob made him bath in a filthy gutter.

The gutter thief, Kelechi

According to an eyewitness, the petty thief who was only identified as Kelechi, is said to be a notorious gangster who goes about terrorizing residents of the capital city by stealing their valuables, breaking into shops and making away with good but on the day his luck ran out on him, he was nabbed after breaking into the shop where he allegedly stole some laptops and iPads.

An alarm was raised after he was spotted inside the shop by people around and before he could escape, he was chased and caught by the angry mob who stripped him naked, beat him to a pulp before proceeding bathing him in the dirty gutter before he was handed over to the police.

He should even thank his stars he was not burnt to death.
