Baby found in suitcase beside skeleton of another infant

A German woman has been arrested on charges of attempted manslaughter after baby was discovered in a suitcase.

Two men have reportedly murdered a three month old baby

On Friday, September 30, Hannover prosecutors revealed that the suitcase was discovered in the home of the 22-year-old suspect.

A 19-year-old man living with the German woman made the discovery and reported it to the police on Thursday, September 29.

The newborn baby was rushed to a nearby children's hospital by the authorities and is now in stable condition.

The spokesperson for the Hannover prosecutors, Kathrin Soefker said further investigations are being carried out to ascertain the father of the child as well as discover the cause of the death of the second child found in the suitcase.

The identity of the suspect is yet to be revealed which is in line with Germany's privacy laws, but she is being held in police custody pending the completion of the investigation.
