Ghana and indeed the whole of Africa is in tears as the senior Army officer who was mistakenly lynched is buried.
The 32-year-old Captain Mahama was given a state burial with full Military honours at the Osu Military Cemetery after a burial service at the forecourt of the State House today, June 9, 2017.
A heart-wrenching vigil was held in memory of the late officer on Thursday, June 8, at the Arakan Mess in Burma Camp, where a lot of teary tributes were paid to the fallen hero.
The well-attended burial service saw members of the Ghanaian Parliament paying glowing tributes on the deceased whose parents were inconsolable while his young wife and two children had to be taken away when they broke down in tears.
