Woman fakes own death to dump boyfriend

In a bid to escape the attentions of a man whe met online, a woman faked her own death and sent messages to the man.

A woman who was tired of a relationship thought the best way to get out of it was to fake her own death.

Ann Gray, 29, from Somerset, United Kingdom, had to take to the extreme measure to free herself from the man she met online by pretending to be her sister and sent a text pretending she was ill and few days later, sent another text that she had passed on.

Gray told Mirror that she had been seeing a man she met on an online dating site but after their 3rd date, she invited him around for a meal but later made up her mind that he wasn't for her, and decided to call it off.

She said:

When she tried to let her date down gently, it was clear he wasn't getting the hint, so she told him outright that it 'wasn't working for her'.

But that didn't do the trick either, as Ann explains:

"He continued to message me and the day came when he sent me one stating 'I think we need to have a date tonight! I will be around your house in 30 minutes.'"

So Ann had to lie her way out of a sticky situation by pretending to be dead and sending him a text to that effect.

Ann never received a reply from her former date, but she did say that he caught her on the dating website again a couple of months later.

"He sent me a horrid message! Can't say I blame him, really. I am currently engaged to be married and not dead!"
