Video footage of members of a Christ Apostolic Church throwing its pastor out of church, has since gone viral.

The service taking place at Abule-Ijesha in Yaba local government, Lagos state, on Sunday, July 24, reportedly ended in a brawl as the members throw their pastor, Micheal Oni, out of the church during the service.

Reports reveal that the fisticuffs had begun over disagreements on the disbursement of church funds and Mr Oni's monthly salary. 

A member of the church disclose that the pastor was recently transferred to the branch from Ibadan, and has been demanding a certain amount as his salary which the branch refused to pay him.

Badejo Adelu tells TVC:

Oni was accused of insulting the members of the church and generally causing trouble for them.

"He has been giving the church problem, causing chaos in the church and fighting members, insulting and raising bad covenant between members."

In his defence, Oni revealed that the church members refused to render accounts of the church to him, saying:

"I asked them that I want to see the account of the church which they failed to render. I told them they should not spend any money without approval by me, they refused."
