A 28-year-old house maid, Hope Hazhi, has been dragged to the Tinubu Chief Magistrate’s Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing her employer’s jewellery worth N15 million.

An househelp has been charged to court after she connived with some outsiders to rob her employers.
Hazhi who resides at Akpako House, Ipare area of Lekki, was charged with a two-count of conspiracy and stealing as levelled against her by the police.
The prosecutor in the case, ASP Chidi Okoye, told the court that the Hazhi’s accomplices were still on the run after she connived with them to rob her employers on April 30 at their residnce at 10, Susan Oji Street, Ikota Royal Estate, Ajah, along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and Magistrate Abimbola Awogboro admitted her to bail in the sum of N500,000 while the case was adjourned to June 29 for hearing.
