Drug Trafficker Woman arraigned in court for selling cocaine

A woman who was caught with cocaine as she was about travelling outside the country has been arraigned in court.

A 35-year-old woman, Dorothy Ifeyinwa, has been charged before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos State by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), for allegedly trafficking 1.72kg of cocaine, reports the drug bursting agency.

It was learnt that the 35-year-old Ifeyinwa, was docked before Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo, after she was caught on April 11, 2016, at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Ikeja, during the outward clearance of an Emirates Airline flight from Dubai, when the drug was discovered in the possession of the accused.

When the charge was read to the suspect, she pleaded not guilty and Justice Oguntoyinbo granted her N1 million bail with two sureties in the like sum, following an application brought by her counsel, Ifeanyi Okenyi.

The judge said one of the sureties must be an officer not below Grade Level 15 and must depose to an affidavit of means, adding that the sureties must be resident within the court’s jurisdiction.
