Double Offence Driver crushes leg of LASTMA official who arrested him

A driver has been arrested for crushing the leg of an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority while trying to evade arrest.

A security officer with the Manna Prayer Mountain International Church located in the Ogudu-Ori-Oke area of Lagos State, Sunday Agbariko, has been arrested by the State Police Command for allegedly crushing the leg of an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Olayemi Isiaka, while trying to escape after he was arrested for reckless driving, Punch reports.

It was gathered that Agbariko, after he was apprehended by Isiaka and some of his colleagues, was said to have asked one of the officials to give him his car key, saying he wanted to take some vital documents.

As he entered the car, he turned on the ignition and in a bid to escape, knocked down the victim, crushing his leg in process.

He could, however, not go far as the injured man's colleagues chased him down and arrested him while the victim was rushed to the Emergency Ward of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi.
