Husband pours boiling oil on wife over food

Another husband has been arrested for allegedly pouring hot oil on his wife during an argument over food.

A middle aged man in Anambra State, Uchenna Okoye, has been arrested by the state Police Command for allegedly pouring boiling oil on his wife, Njideka, during an argument over food.

It was gathered that the father of three had returned home from work on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, and demanded for his food but the wife reportedly told him there was no food in the house, pleading with him to be patient as she had sent someone to the market to get some foodstuff.

This incense the man who flew into a rage and a heated argument ensued between them and in the process, he descended on her and beat her to a pulp. Not satisfied with the beating, he grabbed a pot of oil she had on the fire and poured on her, scalding her severely in the process.

Okoye was arrested and detained at the Central Police station in Awka, the state capital where he has been begging the wife for forgiveness.
