'I have seen visions, my husband wants to use me for rituals' Wife tells court
Speaking during her divorce proceedings, Nike Akinbile, alleged that her husband has been trying to use her for money ritual.

The complainant, Nike Akinbile made the disclosure during her divorce proceedings at a Mapo Customary Court, Ibadan on Friday, September 16.
Nike, who resides at Olunloyo Area, Ibadan said:

“For the past two years now, Femi has been making frantic effort to get rich at all cost and I am his primary target for that purpose.
“Not too long ago, I was just lying on the bed, Femi thought that I had slept off, so he attempted to strike my eyelids with traditional eyeliner also known as tiro.
“I have received several visions that he wants to use me as a sacrificial lamb for the ritual he is making and I don’t want to die now."
Nike added that her husband has abandoned his responsibilities in taking care of her and their kids, forcing them to go without basic care.
Insisting that her mind was made up as far as her marriage was concerned, Nike urged the court to dissolve her marriage of 11 years.

Defending himself, Femi, a businessman, denied all the accusations levelled against him while opposing the divorce petition.
Femi revealed that he hoped to shield his children from hardships in life which is the major reason he wants the union to continue.
“Your honour, I have suffered greatly all this while to sustain and marry Nike. I was the one that sent her to school and made her self-employed.
“For Nike’s education, I enrolled, wrote her examinations for her as well as supervise her other academic pursuits.

“In order to be well balanced in life, I encouraged her to learn tailoring which is her source of livelihood today."
The conclusion of the divorce proceedings is yet unknown.
