A vulcaniser at Udenu Local Government on Thursday killed his friend in a fight over N100.
Reports said, trouble began to brew when the deceased decided to build his shop close to his friend's shop. Bad blood slowly began to brew between the duo.
On the fateful Thursday, the deceased, Mr Omeje had taken his motorcycle to his friend's place to have it fixed. He was charged N300 where he paid N200 and promised to pay the balance.
By evening when he had not paid while he had taken the bike, the suspect confronted him and argument led to a fight, which led to the suspect hitting the deceased's head with a rod.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital but died before they could reach there. When the suspect tried to flee, he was attacked by an angry mob who intended to set him ablaze by but for the intervention of the officers of the Nigerian Police.
Investigations are ongoing while the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Bishop Shannan Hospital, Nsukka.
