25-yr-old man in trouble for raping 4-yr-old girl

A 25-year-old man has been docked for raping a 4-year-old girl in Lagos.

25-year-old Kingsley Churchill, faces a long spell in jail after he was dragged before an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl.

The Punch Newspaper reports that the little victim was ravaged by the sex-crazed culprit at her parent's home located at Adeshokan Street, Ayobo, a suburb of Lagos, on January 24, 2015.

The court heard that Churchill first inserted his fingers into the girl's private part, thereby breaking her hymen, before having sex with her.

When the parents discovered that their child was sexually molested, they interrogated her and she mentioned Churchill. The parents then reported the case to the police and he was arrested.

The police prosecutor, Etim Nknkuk, said the offence which is punishable under section 259 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011, read the one count charge to the culprit:

"That you, Kingsley Churchill, on January 24, 2015, at Adeshokan Street, Ayobo, Lagos in the Lagos Magisterial District, did sexually assault a four-year-old girl by inserting both your finger and penis into her vagina."

Churchill pleaded not guilty to the charge and Chief Magistrate A.O. Isaac, granted him bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties in like sum while the case was adjourned to March 4, 2015.
