A dangerous syndicate were caught by eagle-eyed soldiers as they conveyed guns and ammunitions in a coffin.

The coffin criminals

But for the eagle-eyed military officers at a checkpoint along the Lagos-Ondo road, some evil minded criminals would have made away with a cache of dangerous weapons they were conveying inside a coffin.

According to reports, the syndicate transported the weapons which included AK 47 rifles and ammunitions under the guise of escorting a dead body for burial.

The gang which included two women and  a man who posed as the officiating pastor, hung leaves on the vehicles, the normal way that dead bodies are conveyed, knowing that security agents are wont to let such vehicles pass through without checking them.
