Celebrites And Their Crazy Publicity Stunts

Starting from the Rap Beefs of the 1990s, to the nude pictures of this present generation, many celebrities have done some really obscene things to remain in the public view. To the point where one of Nigeria’s current raves of the moment, had to strip naked and engage in a picture battle with a renowned porn star just to get attention. Insane is the word. More Insane is the game.

The addiction to the glitz and glamour of entertainment has pushed many gifted individuals to forget the need for quality, and embrace the rewards of Obscenity. This is greatly reflected in the way negatively inspiring news of various celebrities, is published by various bloggers and sites. Truth be told, even I might first read the news of Maheeda’s latest nude pictures, before checking out the orphanage Omotola built, on a site. Its just crazy mehn!!!

Enough talk, our focus today, is two classes of Publicity stunts, carried out by our almighty celebrities.

Beefs :  Normally, what we heard was poetic displays word play as the rappers dissed eachother. Today, social network has made it easier to ruin someone’s reputation in order to become more popular. We now get stuffs like Waconzy Versus Davido, Dencia and her disrespectful way of calling an Oskar Award Winner a Slave, Tonto Dikeh win a tweet battle with Emmy Collins, and so many others.

Celebrities have used the power of social network to publicize their inability to handle their personal issues with each other, forgetting that it will only earn them bad publicity.

Naked Pictures: In a bid to announce how sexy or gutsy they are, many celebrities have taken to Instagram and twitter to post pictures revealing various degrees of Nudity. Ranging from photos of Tonto Dikeh posing with a gun in her crotch, Beverly Osu and her sex Tape, to Maheeda (an african mother )showing us naked she can get on Videos and twitter. Even this morning, photos of Naked Nicki Minaj were released online, to a world of ‘wankful’ youngsters, with Raging Hormones. With all the naked pictures of celebrities flying around, one can only shudder at what the next generation would do to stay in Limelight.

Other Outrageous Publicity Stunts include rumours of Payment of High Amounts to Be on Forbes list, making Controversial Comments during television interviews, and Paying Certain Media Houses to Publicize their Material to the detriment of other Entertainers, the list goes on and on.

An Understanding of this by the crowd, would probably enable them know who to invest attention on (the naked pictures would be hardest to ignore though) and who to ignore.

Celebrities are stars that are celebrated for their good deed, but until we can properly celebrate the exploits of people with great output, and ignore the irritating tantrums of some Attention Junkies, we would be encouraging them to continue in their unnecessary publicity stunts.
