26-yr-old woman, lover in the dock for stealing neighbour's N600k
A woman and her lover have been arraigned in court for stealing money from their neighbour.
The two lovers are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The police prosecutor, Sergeant Tubi Olajide, told the court that the accused committed the offences on January 25, 2016, at Otodogbame Community in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of the state.
Olajide said the accused burgled the house of one Hassan Idris, their neighbour, and stole N600, 000. He said that the offence contravened Sections 285 (1) and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
When the charges were read to the accused, the however, pleaded not guilty and their Helen Ibeji, had urged the court to grant her clients bail on liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Mrs S. K. Matepo, granted them bail in the sum of N100, 000 each with two sureties in like sum and ordered that one of the sureties must be a blood relation of the accused, while adjourning the case till February 25, for mention.
