A middle-aged housewife, Tracy Ifeoma Ome, has been declared wanted by the police in Ebonyi State after she allegedly used a hot iron, razor blade, and needle to torture her 10-year-old maid, Mmesoma Eze over a missing N20, 000.

New Telegraph reports that Ome and her husband, Friday, who are residents of Enyogwu Amike, Ezzamgbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the state, have deserted their house after carrying out the dastardly act on the primary three pupil who presently battling for survival in a hospital following the assault.

They were also said to have abandoned the victim at the Ezzamgbo General Hospital where she was rushed to.

It was gathered that the minor was accused by Ome of stealing N20,000 inside her handbag she handed to her on return from Onitsha Main market where she bought second-hand clothes to sell to her customers.

Narrating her ordeal on her hospital bed, the girl said her mistress had given her handbag to keep for her in the house on return from the market while she pays the motorcycle operator that conveyed her home, which she did.

But on checking the bag later, she claimed she left the money inside and when the girl said she did not know anything about the money, her mistress descended on her, beating her with anything she could lay her hands on.
