Monef School debunks story of student cultists killing teenager
A secondary school whose students were accused of murdering their mate for refusing to join a cult group has debunked the story, saying it is blackmail.
In a press statement sent exclusively to Pulse, the school management decried the attempt to blackmail it by a former staff of the school who was dismissed due to some undisclosed offence.
Here is a copy of the release the school sent out:
"We have discovered a barrage of lies on social media against Monef High School by one of its recently DISMISSED STAFF, such as the one on Facebook that Monef students killed someone in Pinnacle Hotel, or that the school is breeding cultists.
Yes, our investigations confirm that someone died in the hotel but that it has nothing whatsoever to do with Monef High School. Our investigations further discover that an autopsy was even performed and no foul play was discovered, not to talk of its having anything to do with Monef students who are quietly enjoying their vacation.
Social Media users are advised to mind what they peddle 'cos they are not immune to prosecution for libel. "Buyers beware!"
