Nigerian gay activist dismisses reports that he's a father

Bisi Alimi's publicist has released a statement dispelling the report that the gay activist and his partner have welcomed a new baby.

Nigerian Uk based gay activist, Bisi Alimi has dismissed the reports that he has welcomed a new baby with his partner.

An Instagram post by the Nigerian activist last week prompted reports that he and his partner are now parents to a new baby.

“Being daddies” he writes on his Instagram, with a collage of photos which shows him and his partner, feeding and dressing a baby.

In a new Instagram post, Bisi Alimi dispelled the reports, revealing that he was just visiting a relative of his who had just welcomed a baby.

"It has come to our attention that there are pictures making round that Bisi Alimi (Nigeria foremost gay rights advocate) is now a father…I want to inform you that as Bisi Alimi publicist, no such thing has happened. Bisi was visiting a new arrival to his family; his nephew on the weekend 31st January,” part of the publicist’s statement read.

The statement also further dispelled another report that Bisi Alimi and his partner, whom he shows off often on Instagram, are married.

“Also I want to make clear that Bisi Alimi though is in a relationship, he is not in anyway married,” the statement also revealed.
