A devastated man has petitioned the Nigerian Immigration over the elopement of his wife with her lover to the USA.

The runaway Abibah Adebimpe and the child

A middle aged man, Alhaji Shamsideen Adebimpe, has still not come to terms with the fact that he has lost his pregnant wife, Hajia Abibah Anike Adebimpe, who allegedly dumped him and eloped to the United States of America with her lover and their daughter.

According to the report carried in the PM News, the devastated man said his 44-year-old wife changed her identity and obtained travel documents to travelled abroad with his daughter without his knowledge, only to send him a text message that she has quit the marriage and is now in the US with her boyfriend, after she had secretly packed all her belongings at the family's  Adebimpe Avenue home in Idimu when he was not around.

Alhaji Adebimpe narrated that in the message his wife sent to him, she told him point blank that she never loved him in the first place despite the fact they lived together for several years as husband and wife, and that he should forget the pregnancy and the child she had for him as her boyfriend has accepted to foster both.

The embittered Alhaji has however written a petition to the Nigerian Immigration Service and American Embassy in Nigeria, seeking for their intervention to bring back her daughter from the United States.
