A man who stabbed a woman on the breast last year has been dragged to court.
Ernest Omowole, a trader resident in Apapa area of Lagos, has been dragged before an Apapa Magistrates' Court for allegedly stabbing a woman on the breast.
According to the police prosecutor, Cpl. John Iberedem, the 27-year-old Omowole is facing a three-count charge of attempted murder, assault and causing grievous harm.
The prosecutor submitted that the accused stabbed Helen Okoro on the right breast with a broken bottle at Adidas Field, Temidire Waterside, Olodi-Apapa, after a quarrel last November.
"Okoro said that she heard that the accused was harassing her son over slippers; so, she decided to intervene.
The complainant said that Omowole, who had threatened to kill her before the incident, directed his anger on her and stabbed her with a broken bottle.
Okoro said that the accused also stabbed her daughter with a broken bottle on her left arm while she was trying to separate them.
He said that the complainant and her daughter were rushed to an undisclosed hospital following injuries they sustained from Omowole act."
On December 9, 2014, Pulse reported the case of an 'Igbo' (Indian Hemp) smoker known as Babalawo, who almost snuffed life out of Okoro and her daughter, Blessing, over a disagreement with her son, Godwin.
