2 men arraigned in court for alleged

The men are: Frank Obiorah, 20, and Sunday Paul, 21, were alleged to have robbed a shop while having in their possession, a double barrel gun.

The prosecutor, Mr Joseph Ekwebele, told the court that the accused persons committed the offence on March 22 at Anwai Road, Mile 5, Asaba.

He said that the offence contravened Sections 6(b) and 3 (1) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provision) Act Cap R 11 Vol 14, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the one count charge.

The the Magistrate, Okonkwo Akanume, ordered that both accused be remanded in Ugwuashi-Uku Prison.

She adjourned the case until May 31 for definite hearing.
