A Nigerian man in the USA is in trouble for allegedly shooting a woman to death so he would not pay his debt.
31-yearold Ezeoma Obioha, a Nigerian up and coming entrepreneur in the United States of America, is now in jail on a $1million bail bond for allegedly murdering 30-year-old Carrie Jean Melvin, who was the CEO of a branding and social media company over a financial dispute, reports Daily Mail.
According to the report, Obioha who runs an emerging clothing line, had contracted Melvin's new online business to market his company Melvin, recently became CEO of a branding and social media company.
But after completing the job, a dispute occurred when Obioha wrote her a dud check that bounced and she threatened him with legal action, but the Nigerian decided to murder her to prevent paying the money or getting involved in a lawsuit.
According to the police, on July 5, while walking with her boyfriend near Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, a gunman crept up on Melvin, pulled the trigger and drove off. Investigators believe Obioha was lying in wait for her when she was shot.
The police reveal that Obioha is listed on Facebook as the President and CEO of The Hoodfellas, Inc., and on the company's website, it says he is a Morehouse College graduate and a US Army Veteran.
He had a storefront for his business, Hoods Inc., which sold T-shirts and hats, in the Mid-City neighborhood in Los Angeles while his home, the store and a marijuana dispensary adjacent to the store, where he worked as the guard, were also raided.
