'I'm not ready to get married but I want a child'

Marriage may not be on the cards for AKA, but the South African rapper would not mind a child - preferably a son.

It's no news that popular South African rapper, AKA arrived Lagos yesterday morning for the launch of Pulse Radio and the weekly Industry Night series. But what might come as a surprise is that the 27-year old wants a child - but NOT marriage.

AKA was a guest on Pulse TV Live earlier today where he chatted on a number of things with Pulse TV's Missy Molu, and when asked if marriage was on the cards for him, the 'N Word' artiste replied in the negative, but quickly added that he'd want a child.

'I'm not ready for marriage now but I think I'm ready to have a child. I think I'll make a good dad, but I want a son. I can teach him manly things but I wouldn't know what to teach a girl if I have a daughter.'

Just this past weekend,[kein Linktext vorhanden]. Wizkid, Ice Prince and Wande Coal are just some of the Nigerian artistes with children outside wedlock. With the increasing number of artistes with children out of wedlock, it appears that this trend is here to stay.
