Highlights of this year's YouthSpeak survey

It was launched on October 9 2015, aiming to capture opinions of thousand’s young people in Nigeria and answer the question, How to engage millennials to take action.

Youth Speak Movement by AIESEC

YouthSpeak Survey, run by AIESEC, is a global insight survey created by youths for youths.

In less than three weeks, 10,000 young people from 150 countries and territories participated, sharing their perspective on the current state of the world and their vision for the future.

YouthSpeak Survey is designed to understand what young people care about and how they would like to participate in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and issues that matter to them.

This is the second YouthSpeak Survey AIESEC is running, the previous one having reached more than 42,000 young people worldwide and capturing their views on education to employment journey.

The current global president of AIESEC, VP of Marketing, AIESEC in Nigeria. explains the importance of youth voicing their opinion, saying: "The world doesn't change with our voice but with our actions. However, a collective youth voice can shape actions of thousands of people across the world. So let's ensure that this single action of making your opinion be heard can unleash a global youth movement".

“By 2030, Nigeria is estimated to be one of the few countries in the world that will likely have a bountiful supply of young workers. Out of a current projected population of 169 million Nigerians, young people account for over 43 percent of the population. What this means is that there are currently over 72 million young people in the country. This is a call-to-action to every Nigerian Youth that the future of our dear country can only be shaped by us. It’s only when we voice out what we care about, before we can know what needs to be acted upon by over 169 million Nigerians”.

The Current generation of Nigerian Youths are a purposeful generation who are united for a better future, a better world.
