Ex-lover kidnaps, rapes, beat up woman for refusing to marry him

A man who was scorned by his lover did the unthinkable by kidnapping her, beating her up and severally beating her.

23-year-old Viri Benitez from Tapachula, a municipality located in the far southwest of the state of Chiapas in Mexico, was kidnapped, raped, and brutally beaten by her ex-boyfriend because she refused to marry him.

The 25-year-old man, Fred Munoz Nataren, has been on the run after he committed the savage act of attacking Benitez at her home one morning as she was getting ready for work.

She reports:

"I had finished with him a few weeks earlier because he was violent and I didn’t want to marry him.

When he arrived at my house I told him I was going to work. When he offered to take me and I refused, he went mental."

Nataren then abducted her and took her to an empty garage where he descended on her, physically abused her until she became unconscious. He then proceeded to rape her several times.

Benitez continued:

"As he was beating me, he was saying he was going to destroy my face so that no one would want to be with me.

He accused me of humiliating him. I begged him to stop but he just hit me harder until I was half-unconscious."

The police say they are confident that they will be able to track down Nataren and bring him to justice.

A police spokesman said:

"An arrest warrant has been put out for the man and it will only be a matter of time until we find him."
