Valentino has released their latest Africa themed Spring/Summer 2016 campaign shot at the Amboseli National Park in Kenya, check on it
With the Spring/Summer 2016 runway show inspired by Africa the designers headed over to the Amboseli National Park in Kenya for the campaign shoot.
The models including Alice Metza, Cameron Traiber, Greta Varlese, Kirin Dejonckheere and Tami Williams were joined by the Maasai people in Kenya for the unique shoot.
The models were styled in looks from the collection sitting and standing at strategic points at the park, in other images they are joined by the Massai people who brought even more tribal aesthetics to the shoot.
“The idea of these pictures is to take the viewer on a journey. The clothes were inspired by African motifs, [so] to take the shoot to Africa and show how these things interact and, this connection of the clothes, the models, the environment, the local people; I thought it was a great endeavor” designers of the Italian label; Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli revealed via WWD.
The campaign was shot by Stephen McCurry who is most famous for his ‘’ National Geographic cover.
