When Puma first introduced their patented Disc closure system, it changed the way select sneakers were created. The praised technology made it easy for removal of laces, as it used an internal wire system that fastened the upper to create a custom fit.
Athletic brand celebrates 25 Years of the Disc system
Puma has just unveiled their new Ignite Disc Sleeve technology. The athletic brand first introduced their Disc Closure system in the ‘90s and now they’re upgrading it for their 25th anniversary.
Now, in their 25th year, Puma has updated the technology and introduced the Ignite Disc Sleeve. The modern iteration features Ignite Foam, an updated and slimmer Disc System and a minimalist upper for a fastened fit.
The rewired Disc System is quicker to turn, making it tighten faster, all while displaying smooth and durable steel wires that wrap and reinforce the upper. In addition, Puma also just made available a tonal trio of the Disc Blaze Cell. More updates on that later.
