Designer showcases called off due to bad weather
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Cape Town Day one came to an abrupt end last night 23rd March due to abnormal weather conditions.
Guests reportedly noticed the marque housing the showcase started shaking due to poor weather conditions made worse by strong winds during the start of the second to the last show for the night.
The announcement was made halfway into the last show for the night for designers, models, crew and all guest to vacate the space for precautionary measures. Cape Town is reportedly currently experiencing abnormal weather conditions.
South Africa based designer Stefania Morland was cut midway into her show after presenting few pieces to shut down the space. The opening night was reportedly packed full but a decision had to be made to protect people first of all. Hopefully the show goes on today.
The team promises to provide more information as it unfolds.
