The modeling competition which started hours later than scheduled picked up the pace when stylish guests arrived and the runway especially came to life! The models who were coached prior to the event at the bootcamp brought all they were taught to the fore as they walked to outdo each other to impress the judges.
With styling done by Ezinne Chinkata, the male contestants presented pieces from Orange Culture, Tokyo James, Grey while the girls sashayed the runway wearing swimsuits from Bfyne. Fashpa, Nigerian online fashion retailer also made a debut with fresh collections at the event.
Jumoke Orisaguna; bread seller turned model got a rousing welcome when she was called and formally introduced for the first time to guests at the event since joining Beth Model Agency. Omawumi also performed at the event wearing a stunning black and red look featuring red lace cape at the event.
Al Paccino and Dolapo Oni Sijuwade were proclaimed the best dressed for the night taking home huge bottles of champagne amongst other interesting bits of the night.
EMLN 2015 winners Damilola Okunola and Funmilayo Akinjuola also walked the runway showing the newcomers how it’s done while 2014 winner Victor Ndigwe gave a surprising performance that sent guests into a frenzy.
Before winners were announced, CJ, Collins, Chidera, Davidson and Ayeni made the top five males while Ruth, Amarachi, Oma, Omoh and Titi made the top five females before Omoh Momoh and DavidsonObennebo eventually emerged winners of the 2016 edition.
