In commemoration of the International Day of Peace, the One African Child Foundation in collaboration with the Zacchaeus Onumba Dibiaezue Memorial Libraries (ZODML) held a seminar for secondary school students on September 21, 2016.

It held at the ZODM Libraries Corporate Headquarters, Ikoyi, Lagos with 28 students from four different secondary schools in attendance. The schools include Ilado Community Senior High School, Ilado Community Junior High School, Akande Dahunsi Memorial Senior High School, and Akande Dahunsi Community Junior High School.

Also in attendance, were volunteers from One African Child Foundation and some members of staff of ZODM Libraries.The purpose of the Seminar was to introduce the students to the basics of peace building and train them on the skills needed to resolve conflicts in their environment. 

The students were introduced to individuals who are noted in the society for their roles in fostering peace. The models who were discussed include: Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama, Mother Teresa, Malala Yousafzai, Desmond Tutu, Mahatma Gandhi, and Juan Esteban Juanes.

The essence of this activity was to highlight the qualities of these peace builders which led to their success in bringing about peace in their societies and to make the students realise that they can be agents of peace wherever they find themselves and in whatever career they chose.
