The 5th edition of the annual Woman Rising weekend was an interesting series of events to mark the International Women's Day which was held at the Metropolitan Club and Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos from Saturday March 21 - Sunday 22, 2015.

The event was hosted by Kemi Lala Akindoju and Aderonke Adebanjo to celebrate women through arts and Music. In attendance were Dr Obiageli Ezekwesili (former Minister of Education), Chief Mrs Oyenike Okundaye and many other leading women in Nigeria.
Also a Special Screening of “The Supreme Price,” an award-winning film by Joanna Lipper inspired by women and featuring Hafsat Abiola was shown to everyone in attendance.
Performing that night were Tonye, Modele, Ruby Gyang, Bunmi Thomas (UK), Rolanke Akinkugbe (Classical Jazz Pianist) and Titilope Sonuga (Spoken Word Artist).
