Nollywood Movies Awards 2014

The biggest award in the Nigerian movie industry is set to take place this weekend

The 2014 (annual) Nollywood Movies Awards is once again upon us and will take place on Saturday 18th October at the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island. Lagos 6pm.

The Nollywood Movies Awards is dedicated exclusively to Nollywood. This is the third annual event and promises to be, once again, a befitting tribute to the best and the brightest of our ever-growing industry. Two years ago it was described by one journalist as "Nigeria's own Oscars", and we are determined to once again put on an event which we can show to the world with pride. 2014 marks Nigeria's centenary anniversary and we have therefore themed this year's awards '100% Nigerian, 100% Nollywood'.

The event will be hosted by an electric quartet comprising of the inimitable comedian Gordons, two of Nollywood's most glamorous ladies Dakore Akande and Uru Eke and to complete the team is the ladies' favourite, Gideon Okeke of Tinsel, Nigeria's longest running TV soap.

Check out the list of nominees below.
