Africa Fashion Week Nigeria 2016 showcase came to a close with A-list designers showing their latest collections at the gala event on 3 July, 2016 at the Eko Hotel & Suites.

The gala show kicked off with veteran fashion designer Modela showcasing after which Rois and Reineshowcased their men’s wear ranging from traditional wears, smart casuals, urban and high street. other designers on the runway included the headline designer Ade Bakare, Yomi Casual, Trisho o. Couture, Lanre Lagos, Mc Stell Fashion Gallery, Bello I. Edu, House of Tangerine by Yemi Alade, Pacciro, amongst others. Nigerian afropop singer and face of this years edition Yemi Alade serenaded guests with her strong vocals as she performed her hit songs.

Tiannah styling and Elegant Kids closed the show with breathtaking fabrics and designs displayed on the runway by celebrities including Senator Ita Giwa, Annie Idibia, Kaffy, Denrele Edun, Zaina, Emmanuel ikubese, LAX amongst others. Host for the night was Kaylah Oniwo and Layole Oyatogun. It was truly a celebration of the African culture.
