The panel, moderated by Google Nigeria country manager, Juliet Ehimuan-Chiazor, was tagged "Smashing the Glass Ceiling" and navigating the limitations placed on women in African societies.
The panelists at the event were Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, Nigeria's former Minister of Education who is also a former Vice President of the World Bank and leader of the #BringBackOurGirls (BBOG) advocacy group; Ibukun Awosika, a business leader and the first woman chairperson of the board of directors of First Bank of Nigeria; and TY Bello, celebrity photographer, songwriter and philanthropist.
The panelists talked on numerous issues facing women in Nigeria, how to overcome them and how the women entrepreneurs can break barriers in the Nigerian business scene.
