Global Investor Summit to hold in Lagos

The event in Nigeria is powered by the African Business Angel Network, Lagos Angels Network, DEMO Africa and VC4Africa

Lagos is hosting the DEMO africa global event for the second year running.

The European Trade Association for Business Angels, Seeds Funds and Early Stage Market Players (EBAN) announced on Thursday, May 7, 2015 that there will be an investor summit in Lagos, Nigeria this September.

The announcement was made at the at the 2015 annual conference of the organization. The event in Nigeria is powered by the African Business Angel Network, Lagos Angels Network, DEMO Africa and VC4Africa and is themed “The African Opportunity: Angel Investing in Africa”.

This year’s summit aims to bring together investors from all over the Angels network include the Cairo Angels, Lagos Angels Network, Ivoire Business Angels, Ghana Business Investors Network and so on to exchange best practices, share lessons learned and set the road map for the future.

Experts from the World Bank, InfoDev, and the African Development Bank are expected to be present. Event partner Ingressive is also leading a group of US investors to the summit.

The event precedes the DEMO Africa 2015 event taking place on September 24 & 25 respectively. All events will be held at the Eko Hotel and Suites.

‘The summit will provide an unprecedented opportunity to network with the leading opinion leaders in Africa’s early stage investment space, and a unique opportunity for accessing the latest investment methods and best practices from sourcing deals through valuation to exits,’ explains African Business Angels Network president Tomi Davies.

The program will include investors both local and international and will consist of angel investors, impact investors, venture capital funds, corporate venture capital; all focused on early stage SME investing.
