Today November 21, 2017, is Davido's 25th birthday. We present to you the top 25 essential Davido records.

Without a doubt, Davido is one the biggest artist coming out of Africa right now.

Since landing on the scene with 2011's ‘Dami Duro and climbing to stardom with his debut album, “Omo Baba Lowo (O.B.O) (2012),  the singer has been steadily staking his claim to the throne of new African pop.

With his effective collaborations, smash hit singles, and awards, It’s amazing that he just turned 25. Today November 21, 2017, which is his birthday, we present to you the top 25 essential Davido records.

Davido co-produced "Dami Duro" with Shizzi and released it on October 30, 2011. the record became his breakout single, marking the start of everything great with Davido in pop music.

This was the foundation of Davido's music career. The song served as his debut album's lead single and received frequent airplay.

‘Feel alright’ ft Ice Prince

The classic woman-wooing record, Davido and Ice Prince combine for what is a standard for offering the good life to a love interest.

This single fit in with his thematic woman-worship. Produced by Mr Chido, it became one of Davido's early hits as he surged up the industry.

While the South African House music raved in Nigeria, Davido tapped up Olamide for a share of the bubble, and 'Money' was the product.

The biggest record of 2017, 'If' relaunched Davido back to the bright lights after a forgattable 2016 where his artistry was tweaked by the powers at Sony Music.

After the success of 'If', Davido tapped Kiddominant for a formulaic hit which consolidated his run in 2017.

An instant hit record, OBO is rounding off his 2017 with a fan-favorite. Interestingly, it was produced by Fresh, a newcomer with the ears for a good sound.

Out of his flopped "Son of Mercy" album shines this Trap light. It features South Africa's Nasty C, and takes the cake as one of his best work in the genre.

Davido found himself soundtracking the weddings of thousands of Nigerians with his hit song 'Aye', which was produced by Tspize.

Formulated on the House sound, Davido collaborated with South African maestros, DJ Buckz and Uhuru, for what became a cross-pollination of sounds.

One of his biggest crossover records, Davido crossed boundaries with the genre-defying sound of 'Skelewu'.

JFem created a beat that was begging for the energy of Davido, who infused his artistry to make a smooth hit.

This is arguably Davido's biggest Nigerian record. An instant hit, Gobe dominated 2013 in a fashion like no other, and created a pop culture slang.

As part of his long-running affiliation with South Africa, Davido's collaboration with Mafikizolo came at a time when they had a continental smash hit in 'Khona'.

As part of his push for global penetration, Davido and US rapper Meek Mill created a Trap record that did polarize Nigerians, and eventually got the video banned for 'promoting a drug culture.'

One of the records off his debut project, Davido's swag and braggadocio carries this through to becoming a hit in his early start.

The lead singe off his "Son Of Mercy" EP, Tinashe combined with Davido as part of his Sony deal to create a tropical record that had equal lovers as well as opposers;

Before he repaid the favor on 'Coolest kid in Africa', Davido extended his vocals and clout to a young Nasty C in search of a hit record.

One of his most interesting efforts, 'Dodo' was a single which failed to become a certified hit, but pulls through as another take on Davido's artistry.

Davido continued his Sony run with this collaboration with Young thug and Rae Sremmund. The resultant record is a Hip-hop formation, which contributes to his catalogue.

One of the reasons why Humblesmith went mainstream was because of Davido's controversial verse on this record. On this, he addressed his baby mama issues, blessing Humblesmith with a breakthrough record.

While he had a troubled 2016, Davido still found time to give a performance on Falz's record, which maintained his momentum in the year. He also gave Nigeria the everlasting line of "Dele na my boy."

Still a testament to his powers, Davido was instrumental in Runtown's emergence as a true pop performer. His energy pushed this record over the line.

To wrap this up, it says a lot that the only external collaboration Kiss Daniel embarked on while at G-Worldwide Entertainment had OBO on it.
