According to a concert promoter in Texas, R. Kelly failed to perform on the scheduled date of his performance in the state. In return the promoter Darryl Austin is suing the piped piper of R&B for not returning his full deposit that was paid in January.

R. Kelly failed to perform at a concert in Texas after the promoter had paid $100, 000 to secure his services.

Darryl Austin personally delivered the sum of $100,000 as a deposit to R.Kelly's team in January. The fee was book him as a headliner for an April concert in Dallas. R. Kelly never made the show, with his team saying they were not aware of it.
When asked for his money to be returned, the concert promoter received $70,000. Darryl Austin wants the court to make R. Kelly perform the concert or pay up the balance.
