It’s another year, and another volume of Kid Konnect’s “Small Chops” is out for you. Grab a seat, prepare your plates, whet your appetites and get ready for something to fill your musical stomachs.

Originally created as a monthly music offering, Kid Konnect decided against it, and he is serving it at intervals, decided by him. The first volume of the project was released in 2016 to critical acclaim. And the producer’s follow-up comes through.

Kid Konnect, the ace producer has always been one to embrace the genre. With an extensive catalogue of great music across major and fusion genres, the man has been driving music, serving as a go-to music maker for best acts in the industry.

Where the first volume was multi-directional, “Small Chops 2: A Small Wedding” is highly conceptual. Designed to capture the beautiful manifestation of love and marriage. Working with Pires Pimesh, the duo dip their creative spirits into diverse genres to create a 5-track EP.

Opener ‘Good day’ is backed by rampant strings, accompanying claps, and lush drums. It serves as the classic up-tempo wedding prayer song. “Honor me, honor me, put ring for my hand.” The song flows to a rapturous ending. ‘Million miles’ is the matrimonial ballad you had no idea you needed. Delivered partly in Yoruba, it’s steady progression kicks.

‘I do I do’ is the jewel of this project. Dark ominous humming open vacant spaces for Pires to move into. He is backed by piano keys, and ceremonial drums. Kid Konnect hits another level on this one. ‘Mother & Wife’ continue this, with its interjecting horns, commanding both attention and offering a classic end to the project.
