Charlie Xtreme (CHx) shows strength of character dusting himself up and out to pursue his calling in “Trapped” EP.

Charlie X lets go of all his inhibitions and thoughts on this project, bringing in like-minded music heads to complement their gift of music.

Deep reflections, talented execution as well as light-hearted naughty stories make up the frame of the EP.

This was also seen in "Young and Faded" EP earlier put out by CHx and Jumar.

Elements of Trap music is employed in the project, as seen in  ‘Trap around the corner’ featuring ODC and ‘Rainbow’ which talks about keeping on your guard and warns you to be weary of fake and dangerous associations.

With Paybac, Charlie X in ‘100 years’, declares longevity; staying tested and true in the game for a long time to come.

The theme of the project re-echoes in the song ‘Freedom’ featuring Ria Sean, talking about breaking free from hindrances of any sort and be free to express and let be.

‘Losing my head’ featuring Sizzle Pro bothers on living your life on your own terms with R&B flavours sprinkled on rap.

Love is also given a chance in the equation with Rexx on an indigenous hook in ‘Akuko’, as ‘Unilag girls’ dwells yet again on trap music elements, but the featured guest singer Jay Okoi fails to sing coherently and get her lyrics heard.

‘Moonlight fetish song’ dwells on dark tales of sexual encounters as fantasy aims to lead the imagination of the listener. Paybac does a ‘good job’ on this one. Listeners’ discretion advised.

JaY Okoi makes amends fairly well on the song ‘Ain’t playing’ getting it right on the coherence factor. The song reiterates the resolve of CHx and his fellow artists getting what they came for.

‘Shitta Turn up’ featuring CO, Decoast and ODC  is a laid back groovy song that’s also as naughty as it gets. A Party starter type of song.

‘Silver linings’ sees Charlie X hooks up with SizzlePro again on this rap joint, as he takes it upon himself to re-emerge and be awesome as he should be in his chosen art, set to make a difference in the midst of all the noise in the industry. Conscious rap is what Charlie is really  about, as clearly expressed on this record.

Stars’ featuring Black Intelligence wraps it all up beautifully as he pays respect to all those out there trying to get by and make a difference at the same time, even when they don’t seem to be appreciated for it.

The Alternative Hip Hop music masked producer and artist CHx is not throwing in the towel on music as he sets out continually to make a difference amidst all the 'noise' churned out in the industry.
