Common and John Legend win award

Former G.O.O.D Music label mates Common and John Legend nab their first Golden Globe award for their soundtrack effort in the Martin Luther King Jr movie 'Selma'

Rapper Common and soul singer John Legend won an award at the Golden Globes which held last night, Sunday January 11, 2014.

The pair won the 'Best Original Song' category for their collaborative effort 'Glory', a soundtrack in the movie 'Selma'.

This is the first Golden Globe win for both Common and John Legend. Rapper Common is nominated in two categories at the 2015 Grammys - 'Best Rap Album' for his 2014 album, Nobody's Smiling, and 'Best Rap/Sung Collaboration' for his track "Blak Majik" featuring Jhene Aiko.

The movies 'Boyhood', 'The Grand Budapest Hotel', 'Birdman' and TV series shows 'The Affair' and 'Transparent' were the big winners of the night.
