Afro Soul Singer Teni Set To Hit The International Stage

Fast rising British-born, Nigerian afrosoul artist; Teni is set to take on the world and help inspire a new sound for her generation through her deeply soulful songs fused with a blend of Jazz, Blues, Funk and Afrobeat as inspired by the great Fela Kuti.

Having massively received great credits for her debut album “Afrodisiac”, a deep reflection of her strong feminine soulful renditions that has had local and international industry insiders and media commend her strength and depth as an artist driving influences from global music icons; Mavin Gaye, Bob Marley and Fela Kuti.

Her singles especially “Your Love is The Key”, is receiving massive local and international airplay with international disc jockey, DJ Mellow D (Missy Elliot’s DJ) of Hot 94.4FM debuting the song on her show and with radio stations across Europe such as BBC and KissFM also broadcasting her materials from time to time.

Her videos have been featured on the hip-hop lifestyle magazine, World Star Hip-Hop and having been approached to feature in XXL’s “Freshman Issue”, British Rock Magazine NME, The Voice news and Washington Post. Moving forward, Teni is set to further connect her music with the world through a series of local and international collaborations with the son of Grammy Award winning international artist Snoop Dogg, Corde on the new Interscope Records mixtape and award-winning artist, Shank.

Emerging as one of 2014′s finest new breakthrough artists with her self-produced album, her goal is to further stamp her presence on the global music scene as a Nigerian jazz singer and composer, delivering timeless soulful music inspired by the rhythm of Afrobeat, funky bass lines and hypnotic afro guitars delivering the message of love, soul and afro renaissance while keeping her identity as a powerful live performer having performed with Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80 band and across Lagos, Accra, Johannesburg and London.

With a new management deal in the works with a London-based firm that has managed the late Grammy Award-winning artist, Amy Winehouse; Teni is set to emerge as the next big thing from Africa to crossover internationally.
